UNIVERSITY OF JOS TAKES POSSESSION OF COMPLETED FACILITY
Three Blocks of Four classrooms, a Hall and Offices renovated at the Naraguta Campus of the University of Jos under the 2013 Presidential Needs Assessment Intervention Project have been delivered to the authorities of the University.
Taking over the Projects on behalf of the University Community, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Seddi Sebastian Maimako described the remodeling of classrooms as a strategic decision and urged the end users to handle them with care so that they can be useful and sustainable.
On the issue of security which has remained a major challenge in the University, the Vice- Chancellor said adequate arrangements are being made to improve security at all the Campuses.
Representative of Head of Department, Physical Health Education who are beneficiaries of the project, Dr. Simon Kaye was appreciative and noted that the Department can now settle down for more robust Academic activities.
Responding on behalf of the Contractors, Chief Executive Officer M & A Logistics, Momoh Omokhigho and Director of Projects, A & B Evergreen Global Concepts Limited, Godwin Ochoga thanked the University Authorities for allowing them participate in the Physical Development of the Institution.
The Vice-Chancellor and other Principal Officers of the University were later conducted on a tour of the facility which is located at the site of the Former Jos University Demonstration Secondary School, Naraguta Campus.
