                                                         PUBLIC HOLIDAY

Management of the University of Jos wishes to notify all Staff of the University that Thursday 8th March, 2018 will be a work free day. This Follows the declaration of a Public Holiday by the Plateau State Government to commemorate the visit to the State by the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.

However, Staff on essential duties should, as usual, report for duties during the period.

Work would resume on Friday 9th March, 2018.

Similarly, the ongoing Registration of fresh Students for the 2017/2018 Academic Session would be suspended during the period of the Presidential visit, that is, on Thursday 8th March, 2018. 

The exercise will resume on Friday 9th March, 2018.

All Staff and the affected Students are advised to please comply.
