                      UNIJOS HOSTS CISCO NETWORKING ACADEMY SAFARI         

 

University of Jos has concluded arrangements towards hosting the 2017 Cisco Networking Academy Safari. The Cisco Academy Safari is an annual event that is held in Africa for Cisco Academy Instructors and provides the opportunity for them to build their knowledge and skills that will enhance the value of their academies. The University through its Cisco Networking Academy and the ICT Directorate, is hosting the event in conjunction with Cisco Systems and Nigerian ASC partners.

 

The Cisco Networking Academy Programme has been successfully helping educational institutions, Instructors and Students for over Nineteen (19) Years through the Academy Support Centres, Instructor Training Centres and Academies in various regions of the world. Over Seven Hundred (700) Instructors from West and Central Africa are expected to attend the Conference which will enable them interact with each other while learning about the various ways they conduct their day to day activities. 

 

The theme of the Conference is ‘Internet of Things (IoT): Get Connected for Collaboration and Professional Development’ with the goal of equipping participants with the best practices and resources that will assist them in the classroom and prepare their Students for contemporary and future challenges. The Conference will focus on three (3) main topics that will enable the Participants share best practices from the NetAcad Community for the NetAcad Community, learn about the NetAcad roadmap updates and get them inspired by new projects and concepts coming in the near Future. It is dedicated to collaboration and professional development designed to equip participants with innovative competences that will ensure successful impartation of Students in an environment that connects relevant content with experience and knowledge.

 

The Conference takes place from Monday 10th to Friday 14th July, 2017 at the Chief Richard Akinjide SAN Centre for International Law and Diplomacy, Naraguta Campus, University of Jos by 9.00am each day.
