  NIGERIA’S 60TH INDEPVice chancellorENDENCE ANNIVERSARY


The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, Staff, Students and the entire University Community heartily felicitates with the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the Vice-President, His Excellency, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the President of the Senate, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, CON, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Principal Officers and other members of the Ninth Assembly, the Chief Justice of the Federation and other members of the Judiciary, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dr. Simon Bako Lalong, KSGG, the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Professor Sonni Tyoden,  Speaker and other members of the Plateau State House of Assembly, the Chief Judge and other members of the State Judiciary, and all fellow Nigerian Compatriots on the occasion of Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary. 


As the nation celebrates this milestone, this is the time to reflect on how far we have come and to rededicate and retool ourselves towards ensuring that the journey ahead becomes a much more fruitful experience. Our yearning for Unity, peaceful co-existence and progress is now more critical than ever in our march towards building a more prosperous Nation. 


In celebrating our 60 years of being together as an indivisible entity, let us remain committed, dedicated and concerted in our efforts to attain the vision of the Nation’s Founders so that we can bequeath a Nigeria of greater respect and admiration to the generations yet unborn.
