Registration Exercise for Fresh Undergraduate Students: 2018/2019 Academic Session

REGISTRATION EXERCISE FOR FRESH UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: 2018/2019 ACADEMIC SESSION

The registration exercise for fresh undergraduate students (Full Time) for the 2018/2019 Academic Session shall commence on Monday, April 15, 2019 at the respective Faculty Boardrooms. Fresh Students, Central Registration Officers, Faculty Officers, Departmental Registration Officers, etc are please expected to take note of the following registration procedures:

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

 

  1. Checking of Admission Status  

All fresh undergraduate students are to visit the portal https://portal.unijos.edu.ng and select CHECK ADMISSION to check the status of the admission

 

  1. Payment of Pre-Registration Charge

Successful candidates are to pay Pre-Registration charge of twenty five thousand naira (N25,000.00) only by visiting https://portal.unijos.edu.ng

 

Select Login and enter their email and password to login to their personalized dashboard.

Select Fee Management and Click on School Charges Then Select Payment and follow the prompts.

Print the payment receipt upon successful payment

 

  1. Verification of Payment of Pre-Registration

Candidates present their payment receipt to the Faculty Finance Officer (FFO) for verification.  The FFO stamps and signs the receipt and returns same to the candidate

 

  1. Bio-data Registration

To do the online bio-data registration, the candidate visits portal.unijos.edu.ng and Log in with their email and password. Then selects My Profile and Click Add/Edit Bio-data. Fill and complete the online bio-data and print five (5) copies. The candidate then proceeds to their respective Faculties Registration Venue.

  1. Faculty / Department Registration

Fresh students should meet the Departmental Registration  Officers of their respective Faculties at the Registration Centre with the following:

 

 

  1. Evidence of payment of pre-registration charge
  2. Clearance slip
  3. Original and photocopies of credentials claimed i.e. O Level/ A Level examination results
  4. Five (5) copies of completed student’s bio-data registration forms
  5. JAMB Result/Registration slip
  6. Birth certificate/sworn declaration of age
  7. Indigene certificate or an affidavit from the Federal High Court
  8. WAEC/NECO/NABTEB scratch card for results checking and
  9. Court affidavit to be of good conduct and non-membership of secret cult

Thereafter, obtain clearance (if successfully screened) and proceed for Faculty registration

  1. Senate Affairs and Admission Division Clearance (Central Registration)Clearance/Registration

After being cleared by the Central Registration Officers (Senate Affairs and Admissions Division), fresh students should proceed to their Faculty Officers at the Registration Centre (for Faculty clearance/registration) with the following:

  1. Clearance from the Central Registration Officers
  2. Documents listed in (f) above

 

  1. Payment of School Charge

Successful candidates are to pay Registration charge of twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00) only by visiting https://portal.unijos.edu.ng

 

Select Login and enter their email and password to login to their personalized dashboard.

Select Fee Management and Click on School Charges

Then Select School Charges and Payment and follow the prompts

Print the payment receipt upon successful payment

 

  1. Generation of Matriculation Number

Upon successfully payment of school charges, the system automatically generates matriculation number and unijos email for the student.

 

  1. Verification of Payment of School Charge

Candidates present their school charges payment receipt to the Faculty Finance Officer (FFO) for verification.  The FFO stamps and signs the receipt and returns same to the candidate

 

  1. Departmental Documentation and Online Registration of Courses

The fresh undergraduate students proceed for online departmental registration by visiting portal.unijos.edu.ng and logs in with their email and password. Select Course Registration then select Add/Edit Course

Thereafter, print five (5) copies of the registered courses and sign as indicated on the form. Submit signed copy of the course registration form to:

  1. Level Coordinators/Departmental Registration Officer
  2. Respective Faculty Officers
  3. Senate Affairs and Admission Division
  4. Examinations and Records Division
  5. Student’s copy

 

 

  1. Hostel Accommodation

Limited hostel accommodation shall be allocated to all students (fresh and returning) who have paid all current and outstanding school charges on a first come first serve bases upon payment of the prescribed hostel accommodation fee. Interested students are to do the following:

The fresh undergraduate students proceed to pay for accommodation online visiting portal.unijos.edu.ng and logs in with their email and password. Select Fee Management to pay for preferred hostel accommodation. The system automatically allocates bedspace in the selected block,

 

  1. Registration in the Library

Library registration is online on the University of Jos website. Print five (5) copies of the library registration form and bring them to the Library at the Bauchi Road Campus for documentation

  1. Registration at the University Health Services Centre

Access to the University’s Health Services registration form is online. Note that only chest X-ray and laboratory results from the University Health Services Centre, Teaching Hospitals, Federal Medical Centres and Specialist Hospitals are accepted.

 

  1. Students Identification Cards

To request for Identity card, the fresh undergraduate students visits portal.unijos.edu.ng and logs in with their email and password. Select Identity card and pays for it online. Thereafter, proceeds to Security Division to collect their identity card
