UNIJOS PROFESSOR APPOINTED AS SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA

Authorities of the University of Jos have congratulated one of the University’s staff, Professor Alphonsus Okoh Alubo of the Department of Commercial Law, Faculty of Law over his recent conferment with the award of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee.

Professor Alubo who was only one of three Professors conferred with the award out of the Thirteen Professors shortlisted in the academic category, joins thirty-eight other successful candidates that were formally sworn in at the commencement of the 2019/2020 New Legal Year of the Nigerian Supreme Court.

It would be recalled that Four staff of the Faculty of Law, University of Jos have gone on to become Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN) including Professor Clement James Dakas (SAN), Professor Joash Amupitan (SAN), Professor Sylvester Sadiq Shikyil (SAN) with the latest being Professor Alphonsus Okoh Alubo (SAN).
